Services are provided at no cost to families in the Coachella Valley. Under the supervision of a child development specialist, specially trained bilingual home visitors provide supportive services to the mother, infant and family. Parents are prepared for the coming changes and challenges in their baby’s growth and development. They are helped to better understand their baby’s needs and become a more confident parent.
Infants are monitored and screened for physical, cognitive and socio-emotional development. Appropriate referrals to community resources are made as indicated by on-going assessments by the home visitor.
